Mandalorian Armor

This cosplay was my first foray into prop making and theatre in general. It started early in high school, and I’ll never consider it truly “done” (though I have not worked on it in a bit). There will always be updates and small details I could add.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of Star Wars. The grimy sci-fi details and use of old World War II guns and camera parts to create spaceships and blasters is what first inspired me as an artist.

The armor pieces are made out of Sintra (expanded PVC foam). I molded them to my body with a heat gun, then attached them with a combination of velcro and snaps. This is by far the project that has taught me the most, as I used a variety of materials and paints during the process. I could not have done it without the help of the Mandalorian Mercs forum.
