Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters
I was a carpenter for this fun children’s show, working under Technical Director Elisabeth Cooper and Assistant Technical Director Joseph Watts. More information about the play and the wonderful Synchronicity Theatre can be found here
Many of the set pieces were sheets of plywood and Masonite that we cut out with jigsaws then wrapped in patterned fabric.
This was by far the most complex piece to cut out. It took two of us a couple hours and several battery packs to complete.
A cleverly engineered hut by the TD, Coop, that we built. The walls of this hut can bend about 40 degrees in either direction.
