Skyrim Iron Sword

I started this project during my time at the Peterborough Players as a sort of “weekend project” for when we weren’t busy working on the productions. I ended up taking it home to put the final touches on it. Unfortunately, I did not think about taking detailed progress pictures while making it.

The blade is made up of two pieces of EVA foam with a wooden tang that runs between the foam all the way down to the pommel.

    Here you can see the different materials used during construction: EVA for the blade, Sintra for the cross guard, PVC for the handle, twine for the grip, and insulation foam for the pommel.

    This is the what the sword looks like in the game. I decided to not add the ridges on the blade as this was more of a quick side project. Given more time, I would have added them with thin strips of EVA foam.
